Learning and collaboration across schools

Ten Handsworth Schools have signed up to a programme of learning and collaboration focused on helping local children and young people catch up on lost learning time due to the closure of schools during the pandemic. The project will be led by the Education Endowment Foundation and locally delivered by our learning school, St Matthews, Nechells.

Sonia Thompson, Head Teacher at St Matthews School praised Handsworth Schools for their initiaitve in taking up this project:

"Handsworth is the first area of Birmingham to sign up for this project that we believe will bring excellent practice to schools and give a massive boost to our children at a time when they need more help and support"

Handsworth Association of Schools worked with the Handsworth Locality Schools Consortium and EEF to promote the project to schools and encourage their involvement in it.
